This e-book is a collection of photos taken in downtown Bangkok, along with some commentary. My intention in this book is to be both informative and entertaining. The photos and my commentary are subjective and represent my particular (possibly peculiar) viewpoint. In no way, whatsoever, am I attempting to be objective.
If someone has lived in Bangkok for an extended period of time, they will probably have already seen images much like the ones I have included. This book may not be a good choice for such people. I have lived in Bangkok for over six years and the photos included here show a few of the things that strike me as interesting about Bangkok. I’m sure another person would have an entirely different collection of images.
I had fun taking these photos. I hope some of that fun is communicated in the photos. It’s not my intention to offend anyone in any way with these photos or with the commentary accompanying them. If you have purchased this book and find a photo of you that you consider personally offensive, please let me know. My email address is at the end of this book. I got permission from most of the people I photographed; but, I did not ask for their approval of my commentary.
If you do not have a way to download this e-book in color, I’d suggest you not buy it. Color adds a tremendous amount to the photos; I’d question if the book makes sense in black and white.
If you are a person who insists on political correctness, I would also suggest you look for another book. Bangkok is definitely not a politically correct city (as would be defined by American standards of political correctness). Trying to fit Bangkok into the box of American political correctness would take the heart out of a book like this one.
I hope after looking at this book you will develop an affection for Bangkok. Bangkok (and Thailand) has its problems. Bangkok is, in many ways, a quirky place. If you live here for a while, I think you either come to accept and to like this quirkiness … or else you will begin complaining about it.
But, really, it’s not my intention to sell you on Bangkok. Turn the page and take a look. Decide for yourself

I just read this book :>)Very entertaining with a great forward by the author. He makes no excuses for expressing his opinion. It makes me think of similar situations I've observed in my travels, but often with another perspective, so it's good to have his view. I think the book is best for the man who's been to Bangkok, and can't wait to go back. I'm glad that he'll keep using his camera and I'll be sure to check out his new photos.

Bangkok A Photographic Commentary eBook Alan ReederCamponi Reviews
enjoyed both the photos of Bangkok and the commentary on Thailand in general. The photos and the viewpoints provide a very personal description of Thailand. It's an interesting take on Bangkok and the culture of Thailand. I found some parts quite humorous.
Be sure you find a way to download the photos in color.
Entertaining and with a good eye for detail
